Objective: Gisagara District engaged UPCE Consult Ltd for a technical study supporting the construction of an extension to the Gisagara District Office building. Scope & Methodology: The assignment involved an intensive study of the existing site conditions, an assessment of environmental impacts, and a detailed review of the district administration's operational and space needs. Our technical team, led by our director (a certified valuer, urban planner and civil engineer), assessed infrastructure needs, spatial utilization, and compliance with applicable zoning regulations, and used these findings to inform the extension's architectural design, structural calculations, and financial planning. Key Deliverables: Advisory support to the client, structural design calculations for the new building, detailed architectural drawings, a Bill of Quantities, and a complete tender document package to guide procurement of construction works. Impact: The study ensured that the proposed office extension was operationally sound, compliant with zoning and environmental standards, and cost-effective, giving Gisagara District a clear and bankable path to expanding its administrative offices.
