Objective: Rusizi District engaged UPCE Consult Ltd to elaborate a layout plan and carry out beaconing works for the Gahinga site located in Gahinga Cell, Mururu Sector. Scope & Methodology: Our team reviewed the existing land use of the study area and developed a detailed local urban development plan together with a detailed physical plan covering approximately 1,500 hectares, and subsequently carried out on-site beaconing to physically mark plot and road boundaries in line with the approved layout. Key Deliverables: A detailed physical development plan for the 1,500 Ha site and a complete set of beacon markers establishing plot and road boundaries on the ground. Impact: The project gave residents and the district authority a clearly defined, legally demarcated layout for the Gahinga area, laying the groundwork for orderly plot allocation and future development.
