Objective: RDB engaged UPCE Consult Ltd to design a new, expanded parking area and generator house to resolve the significant traffic congestion caused by vehicles parking in the existing RDB parking yard. Scope & Methodology: Our team developed and provided technical specifications and architectural design for the parking area, including its lighting design, prepared a full Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for the civil works, and produced a detailed technical report recommending quality materials for construction. We also developed the overall budget and cost estimation for the parking facility and separately provided a full geotechnical soil study (étude géotechnique) of the site, along with an implementation schedule for the works. Key Deliverables: Architectural and lighting design, BOQ for civil works, technical materials report, cost estimation, geotechnical soil study, and implementation schedule. Impact: The redesigned facility resolved RDB's parking congestion problem with a professionally engineered, cost-estimated and geotechnically validated solution ready for construction.
