Objective: A private client, Kamugisha Priscille, engaged UPCE Consult Ltd to provide architectural design and full construction services for an apartment building in Gisozi, Kigali. Scope & Methodology: Our scope encompassed Bill of Quantities (BOQ) preparation, detailed execution of design plans, and rigorous supervision throughout the construction process. We also conducted environmental impact assessments to ensure compliance with sustainability standards, incorporating rainwater harvesting techniques and nature-based design solutions such as natural ventilation, resource and energy efficiency, and waste management into the building's design. Key Deliverables: Architectural design plans, BOQ, environmental impact assessment, and comprehensive construction supervision through project completion. Impact: Over a seven-month engagement, UPCE Consult successfully delivered a high-quality apartment building in Gisozi, reflecting a comprehensive approach that combined solid design and construction execution with genuine environmental responsibility.
